FOUNDRY  BENTONITE::KAR-DOKBEN

1. APPLICATION

In the foundries which  cast iron or steel is melt; special bentonite KAR-DOKBEN  is being used by mixing to the mould sand  as a binder, to keep stable the shapes while metal is being poured.

 

2. PROPERTIES

When 10 % KAR-DOKBEN is mixed to a mould sand which contains 3 %  water, can be obtained 1200 gr/cm2 green presure srenght and 160 cm3 / cm2 penetrating grade of gases, If 15 % KAR-DOKBEN is mixed to the same wetted sand, green presure strenght rises to 2100 gr/cm2 and the penetrating grade to 180 cm3 / cm2

Chemical properties of the bentonit, KAR-DOKBEN are given below;

Si O2 60-62%           
Na2 0 1,8-2 %
Mg O 2,5-3 %
AL2 O3  % 17-18
K2 O % 0,9-9,5
Fe2 O3   3-3,5%
CaO 3,5-4%

3. PACKING

50 kg multilayer paper bags, KAR-DOKBEN  is dry and, easily flowable grinded form.
